Birara Genet is a board-led organization that aims to empower under-represented community members (particularly those from low socio-economic backgrounds) in various vocational fields through targeted skills training in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The primary goal of the initiative is to ensure that our participants secure and maintain jobs that can provide a steady means of income. We aim to partner with training facilities and potential employers to craft robust professional development resources that our participants can utilize to find jobs.

In addition to vocational training, Birara Genet places a strong emphasis on holistic support, including mentorship programs, financial literacy workshops, and personal development sessions. We believe that true empowerment comes from not only equipping individuals with technical skills but also providing them with the tools to navigate the challenges of the modern workforce. By fostering a supportive community and creating opportunities for continuous learning, we strive to build a foundation for lasting economic stability and personal growth for our participants.
